The AWS Partner Systems team supports Partner Sales, the APN, and other elements driving the AWS partner ecosystem. We serve three groups of stakeholders: partners who work with us to sell AWS, customers who use AWS, and internal users responsible for driving AWS sales and adoption via partners.

SMGS drives revenue, adoption, and growth from large and mid-market accounts to enterprise customers including the public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and emphasizes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers building mission-critical applications on AWS.

AWS Partner Systems is looking for a results-oriented, self-driven Development professional who can help create the next generation of distributed, scalable systems that support AWS current and future business needs. In this role you will enjoy a fast-paced environment, work with a high volume of data, and tackle complex business contexts defined in real-time. You will design and develop services that process millions of transactions in a secured environment.

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to advance the Marketplace product. As a Software Development Engineer, you will own significant portions of the product and influence strategy by helping define the next wave of features and system architecture. The role spans front-end user experience, robust platform services, system-level components, and everything in between. You should enjoy working on complex system software, be customer-centric, and be committed to building quality software and achieving operational excellence.

Strong teamwork, hustle, and clear communication with both business and technical partners are essential.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
