As a Senior Software Engineer (Quantum Control), you’ll lead the design and implementation of software to manage and optimize the operation of our quantum hardware systems. You’ll collaborate with research and engineering teams to ensure precise control and integration, contributing to our groundbreaking approach to quantum computing. This position offers the chance to influence the next generation of quantum technology, with potential applications in scientific research and emerging industries like aerospace.
Responsibilities- Lead the development of software solutions to control and optimize quantum system operations.
- Design and implement control algorithms to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware prototypes, aligning with project milestones.
- Provide technical expertise in quantum control software, contributing to patentable innovations and licensing strategies.
- Foster a culture of innovation and scientific discovery.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Quantum Computing, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in quantum computing or high-performance computing.
- Proven expertise in developing control software for complex systems, with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Strong understanding of quantum computing principles and their practical applications.
- Experience with interdisciplinary teams and a track record of delivering innovative software solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Skills:
Familiarity with quantum control frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq) or photonic/trapped‑ion technologies. - Knowledge of aerospace applications or quantum simulations for scientific discovery.
- Experience with patent development or intellectual property processes, particularly for licensing initiatives.
This role may involve access to ITAR‑controlled information, requiring U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency; all applicants must be eligible to work with such data under U.S. export control regulations.
