The Aurora DSQL team at AWS is building revolutionary transactional database technology. As part of the Query Processing team you’ll play a key role in planning and executing SQL statements, from parsing to execution.

• Solve challenging technical problems across the stack.
• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions.
• Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
• Research implementations that deliver the best customer experience.
• Build high-impact solutions for a large customer base.
• Participate in design discussions, code review, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Work cross-functionally to drive business decisions with technical input.
• Work in a startup-like environment focusing on important tasks.

• Design and code solutions to drive software architecture efficiencies.
• Create metrics, implement automation, and improve processes.
• Resolve root causes of software defects.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your Amazon package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
