Back-end Developer

Overview

A back-end developer enables the user-facing side of a website to exist. Back-end code adds utility to everything the front-end developer creates. Back-end developers are responsible for creating, maintaining, testing, and debugging the entire back end of a website. This includes the core application logic, databases, data and application integration, API, and other back end processes.

• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
• Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
• Record data and report it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
• Participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
• Take lead on projects, as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• 2 years of related experience.

• Increment would be at least a minimum of 15% every six months.

• Employer’s Confirmation Letter/CPT Letter/Offer Letter will be provided, which you need to submit to your university within 90 days of the start of your OPT.
