We are seeking a world-class Software Development Manager to help build the next generation of Amazon Seller Assistant. You will partner with scientists, engineers and stakeholders to launch production-grade agentic capabilities at Amazon scale—owning your problem space end-to-end, from a crisp customer insight to a shipped product that millions of sellers rely on.
About the team:
The Amazon Seller Assistant team operates at the frontier of agentic AI and agentic commerce, shipping production-grade, multi-agent systems used by millions of sellers worldwide. We move with the urgency of a startup and the resources of a customer-obsessed company, bringing the latest breakthroughs in science and engineering to capabilities sellers rely on every day.
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
- 3+ years of Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle
- 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++
- 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture
- 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using distributed programming
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness
- Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
- Experience identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services to drive business value

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
