• Apply state‑of‑the‑art backend development techniques to optimize Tik Tok Ads solutions end‑to‑end, including ad creation, delivery, creative automation, format optimization, etc., and improve Shop Sellers' marketing experience.
• Connect with businesses directly to understand and develop solutions for their jobs‑to‑be‑done.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of shopping experiences on Tik Tok.
• Capitalize on organic shopping behaviors on Tik Tok today and facilitate retentive behaviors to provide more people value and business value.

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Solid Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, software design) and problem‑solving skills.
• Solid programming skills, proficient in Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with logging and testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, Redis, etc.).
• Team‑player with strong communication skills who can work independently.
• Must be able to commit to a 12‑week full‑time work period during Summer 2026.

• Familiarity with main components for Ads systems, including ad creation, ad creative/format optimization.
• Proficiency and experience with designing, implementing, and operating large‑scale distributed systems.

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $42.75–$42.75.

Interns have day‑one access to health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and more. Interns also receive ten paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in the first half of the year, 40 if hired in the second half). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for a housing allowance. The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
