The marketing team educates customers about cloud computing and AWS services. We generate thousands of leads from events, webinars, website, and campaigns, score them, and deliver the highest‑quality leads to sales teams.

The Opportunity

Imagine building a platform on AWS that stores millions of customer lead records, continually updates their attributes based on demographics and engagement, enriches data from first‑party and third‑party sources, scores leads, and forwards the best leads to the appropriate sales teams. Working with global Marketing and Sales leaders, you will develop this end‑to‑end engine.

As a Software Development Engineer on the Lead Management and Account‑Based Marketing Engineering team, you will develop a high‑quality, scalable technology platform. Your team will own core innovations, interact with senior managers and stakeholders worldwide, and lead the full software development lifecycle.

You will have a measurable impact on the AWS buying and lead management process, building solutions that are simple, maintainable, and scalable. You are expected to be a strong technical leader, skilled at hiring, growing, mentoring engineers, and cultivating leadership capabilities.

• Implement a scalable end‑to‑end technical design across all systems in the solution – including AWS tools, API, and Redshift.
• Deliver validated conceptual architecture.
• Write and prioritize architectural enablement work items.
• Evaluate technical feasibility of features.
• Define migration plan from current to future state.
• Define environment setup and continuous integration/continuous delivery standards.

• Collaborate with product management, UX designers, and engineering on feature technical feasibility.
• Capture technical requirements ensuring security, scalability, efficiency, and responsiveness.
• Design an overarching solution and secure buy‑in from technical audiences.
• Deliver high‑quality code and conduct peer reviews.
• Champion standards and best practices.
• Identify technical risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to resolve system bugs.

• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of building complex software systems experience.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
• Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics, or natural language processing.
