Software Development Engineer, Dcs Host Monitoring

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring that our data centers run smoothly. As a member of the Dcs Host Monitoring  team within DC BRIDGE, you will build systems that process datacenter telemetry to power alarms and help staff monitor operations.

• Collaborate with software, hardware, network, and supply‑chain engineers to deliver safety, security, and high‑capacity solutions.
• Design and develop large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications that process telemetry and generate alarms.
• Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle, including coding, code reviews, source control, build and test processes, and operations.
• Work closely with data‑center operations engineers to iterate quickly on feedback and improve system performance.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting reliable, scalable systems.
• 1+ year of developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multithreaded, embedded or distributed applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
