As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, Amazon seeks to deliver business applications that are used by millions of companies worldwide. In this role, you will join the Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) team to build systems that handle billions of emails daily, develop solutions to combat email abuse, and create AI/ML capabilities that improve deliverability and engagement. You will work within specialized groups focused on high‑performance sending infrastructure, control mechanisms, insightful analytics, and intuitive user interfaces, and you will help build natural‑language interfaces that replace complex APIs to make SES easier to use for all customers.

• Design, develop, and support next‑generation configuration and onboarding experiences that enable all customers to leverage the full power of SES, regardless of technical expertise.
• Build natural‑language interfaces that replace complex APIs, enabling customers to manage resources the way they think.
• Produce robust, efficient, and maintainable code at the scale of millions of customer resources.
• Work on challenging problems at the intersection of AI/ML, distributed systems, and customer experience—from intent understanding to resource orchestration.
• Continually challenge existing solutions and explore improvements to best meet evolving customer needs, simplifying complexity without sacrificing capability.
• Possess expert knowledge in large‑scale distributed system design and engineering best practices.
• Participate in setting the vision and roadmap for unified configuration experiences, aligning with customer needs and the broader SES strategy.
• Drive algorithm and architecture design for AI‑powered tooling that adapts to how customers think, not the other way around.
• Collaborate with a motivated, top‑notch team to solve meaningful problems in a fun, innovative environment.

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
