Position Overview
The Automated Reasoning Group in the Amazon Neuron team seeks an Applied Scientist to develop and deploy analyzers for machine‑learning compiler stages, integrating with the custom‑built Trainium accelerator. The role involves designing business‑critical tooling, publishing research, and mentoring a team of scientists and engineers to advance compiler technology for deep‑learning systems.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deploy analyzers for machine‑learning compiler stages and intermediate representations.
- Architect and implement business‑critical tooling to support the Amazon Neuron ecosystem.
- Publish research and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.
- Collaborate with engineers to tackle challenges and contribute to leading‑edge design and research in compiler technology and deep‑learning systems software.
- PhD, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
- Experience with patents or publications at top‑tier peer‑reviewed conferences or journals.
- Expertise programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high‑performance computing.
- PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Background in machine learning and AI accelerators.
- Experience in programming languages, compilers, program analyzers, theorem provers, and program synthesis engines.

Locations & Salary- Cupertino, CA: $171,600 – $222,200 annually
- Seattle, WA: $142,800 – $193,200 annually
