Overview

Software Development Engineer, Developer Agents and Experiences. AWS is building Kiro Autonomous Agent—a frontier agent that independently tackles development tasks, maintains context across interactions, and learns from its work. This role focuses on shaping autonomous software systems that operate at scale with reliability and security.

You will collaborate with exceptional talent at the intersection of AI and software engineering, solving novel problems and shipping features that directly impact how developers work. From day one, opportunities to lead may include owning projects, defining technical direction, or shaping team operations.

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale distributed systems.
• Apply rigorous engineering principles to develop reliable, performant, and resilient infrastructure that supports autonomous agents and tools.
• Work in an environment where agents will run, ensuring scale, reliability, and security.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) for new or existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range is listed below. Your Amazon package may include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
