** Role overview
** Build and maintain benefits-data integrations on Boomi Atom Sphere, with primary ownership of carrier enrollment feeds and EDI workflows. This role is ideal for a hands-on Boomi developer who understands the full carrier onboarding lifecycle—from companion-guide interpretation and mapping through certification, cutover, monitoring, and production support. |
** What you’ll do
** Design, build, test, deploy, and support Boomi integrations for X12 834 carrier enrollment transactions.  Translate carrier companion guides into mapping specifications, test scenarios, certification files, and production-ready processes.  Handle effective dating, full-file versus change-only logic, dependent loops, and HD/DTP segment nuances.  Configure trading partners, partner profiles, ISA/GS envelopes, and acknowledgment flows including 999 and TA1.  Develop reusable Boomi processes, maps, profiles, connector operations, cross-reference tables, and sub-processes.  

Implement try/catch handling, error routing, retry logic, batching, alerting, and failed-execution triage.  Manage Atom and environment deployments, extensions, packaged components, promotions, and disciplined component reuse.  Support secure SFTP and PGP exchange, file naming, archival conventions, SLA windows, and unattended batch operations.  Write and tune SQL Server queries that support enrollment feeds and identity-matching logic.  Create test harnesses, use synthetic data in TEST, and maintain precise Jira updates, runbooks, and handoff documentation.

* ** What you’ll bring
** 5+ years of hands-on Boomi Atom Sphere integration development experience.  Production experience with X12 834 enrollment transactions and benefits carrier integrations.  Deep knowledge of Boomi processes, maps and map functions, XML, JSON, flat-file and EDI profiles, connectors, properties, and cross-reference tables.  Strong understanding of Boomi design patterns, including reusable sub-processes, exception handling, retries, batching, and low-latency versus batch trade-offs.  

Experience with environment promotion, packaged components, extensions, Atom management, and component versioning.  Ability to use Groovy or JavaScript judiciously while favoring maintainable native Boomi shapes and maps.  Strong SQL Server skills and experience with SFTP, PGP, and vendor point-to-point delivery patterns.  Working knowledge of HIPAA and PHI handling, including safe logging, test-data, and ticketing practices.  Clear written English, strong asynchronous communication, and daily overlap with U.S. business hours.

** Preferred qualifications
** Boomi Professional Developer or Architect certification.  Benefits administration, healthcare, or insurance experience involving enrollment, FSA, HRA, or COBRA.  

Experience with X12 820 premium remittance or other benefits-domain EDI transactions.  Exposure to Boomi API Management, Event Streams, Flow, Companion, or AI-assisted integration tooling.
