- Golang - this is an onsite role in Seattle, WA. Salary range: 120-200K USD base plus benefits. we've already helped thousands of users access cash advances, build credit, optimize taxes, and more. The company operates a high-velocity cash advance product processing thousands of transactions daily, serving subprime customers who have been underserved by traditional financial institutions.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to help rebuild and scale our cash advance platform from a scrappy prototype into a system capable of processing hundreds of millions in originations. You'll be a generalist who can take a business outcome and drive the technology end-to-end, working across distributed systems, financial infrastructure, data pipelines, and internal tooling.

What will you be doing?

• Rebuilding core backend systems (ledger, transaction processing, payment integrations) to support 5-10x growth in advance originations
• Building high-reliability, high-scale collection systems that make targeted transactions across thousands of small-cap advances daily
• Ingesting and processing massive volumes of customer banking data from partners to power underwriting and collection decisions
• Using SQL and data analytics to drive engineering decisions, monitor system performance, and validate business outcomes
• Designing and operating event-driven distributed systems with Pub/Sub and asynchronous workflows

Requirements:

2 -​ 5 years of experience in backend software engineering,​ with focus on Go and distributed systems

Has owned a real product/technical outcome end-​to-​end,​ can speak to the business impact

Startup experience at Series A/B stage

Background in data-​heavy,​ high-​velocity environments (fintech,​ adtech,​ analytics,​ etc.​) (Nice-to-have)

Bachelor's degree in CS or related technical field

Full-​stack with real backend depth,​ not primarily front-​end (stack-​agnostic)

SQL and data analytics — can query data to inform engineering and product decisions

Experience with distributed systems (Nice-to-have)

Must work on-​site 5 days/week in Seattle,​ WA
