Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Senior Software Eng, Amazon Robotics Manipulation

Description Join Amazon Robotics to design and deploy intelligent software systems that bring robots to life in fulfillment centers worldwide. You’ll create the infrastructure that enables robots to perceive, learn, and act at scale, directly transforming how we serve customers globally.

Your focus centers on building end-to-end software systems that integrate robotics, computer vision, and machine learning into our operations. You might start your day partnering with hardware engineers and data scientists to design infrastructure that monitors fleet performance across multiple locations.

You’ll move between prototyping new capabilities in the lab and assisting wide-scale deployments in active facilities. Throughout the day, you’ll design and implement software services that integrate robots with cloud services, develop monitoring systems that detect and respond to robotic failures, and create metrics pipelines that identify optimization opportunities.

You’ll participate in code reviews with teammates, troubleshoot system issues in real time, and contribute to architectural decisions that shape how our robotic systems evolve. Beyond coding, you’ll have opportunities to mentor colleagues and share your expertise across the interdisciplinary team.

Key job responsibilities
  • Design and implement infrastructure software that integrates robotic systems into the Amazon Fulfillment Cloud network, enabling seamless communication between on-site robots and cloud-based services
  • Build and deploy scalable software systems that enable robots to operate reliably and effectively across multiple fulfillment center locations, assisting both new site launches and ongoing fleet expansion
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, fault detection, and simulation systems that ensure robotic fleet reliability and performance at scale—including metrics pipelines, anomaly detection, and automated alerting
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including roboticists, hardware engineers, data scientists, and operations stakeholders to integrate all components of the robotic stack into cohesive, production-ready solutions
  • Conduct testing, code reviews, and architectural planning to ensure systems meet reliability, scalability, and operational excellence requirements across the full software lifecycle
