Varsity Assistant Softball Coach Reports to Athletic DirectorBishop Blanchet is a Catholic high school located in Seattle, WA. Position OverviewAssistant Varsity Softball Coach for the spring season. Applicants with JUCO, NAIA, and D1-3 experience, but not a requirement, previous coaching experience at the HS level, 21 years or older, possessing a valid Washington State driver's license, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification are preferred. This position reports to the Athletic Director.
Softball is a spring sport. The season runs from March 2 through May 23, 2026.
QualificationsApplicants with relevant coaching experience and certifications above are preferred.
Responsibilities- Compliance with all Bishop Blanchet HS, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.
- Supervision of student-athletes during all team activities:
- Coaches need to be available between the hours of 3-9pm for practice and games (Monday-Saturday).
- Effective communication with players, coaching colleagues, and parents.
- Promotion of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fair play among team members.
- Developing players through skill development.
- Teaching the rules of the game and technique to improve player development.
- Summer Activities and Camp participation is encouraged with the job.
$2250-$3000 stipend.
This position is not benefits eligible.
We offer competitive stipends that are paid in one installment, half way through the competition season. We also offer access to professional development and BBHS Athletics Apparel.
