• Assess and evaluate senior residents’ needs for exercise and fitness.
• Work with residents individually and in groups.
• Plan individual fitness programs for participating residents.
• Supervise or present exercise programs that may include exercises in the pool.
• Assist team members with orientation to Fitness Center, procedures, and policies.
• Produce promotional materials, newsletters, flyers, etc. as required.
• Inspect, clean and maintain equipment.
• Maintain records of residents’ progress.
• Assist with collecting data and reports for fitness activities as required.
• Provide in-service trainings as required.
• Work in collaboration with other professionals to provide appropriate assistance to residents.
• Perform administrative functions for the department.
• Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in an exercise-related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience (3 or more years of fitness related experience).
• National Fitness Certification Required (ACSM Preferred, But Not Required).
• Experience in prescribing exercise to special populations preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate proper uses of the exercise equipment.

• Must be able to physically assist in safe exercise and the safe operation of the equipment.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs.
