Boys Director of Coaching Highline Premier FC
Highline Premier FC (HPFC) is seeking an experienced and passionate Boys Director of Coaching to lead and grow our competitive boys' soccer program. In collaboration with the Club Director of Coaching and leadership team, this role provides strategic direction, oversight, and daily leadership for all boys' teams, coaches, and players (U8–U19).
The ideal candidate is a skilled coach, mentor, and leader dedicated to long-term player development, coach education, and fostering a competitive, values-driven culture aligned with HPFC's mission.
Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Growth- Serve as the primary leader and advocate for the boys' program.
- Define and implement a clear developmental pathway for players ages U8–U19.
- Drive the strategic growth of the program, expanding competitive opportunities for players and coaches.
- Support and evolve the club's curriculum, methodology, and playing style within the boys' program.
- Maintain highly competitive standards across EA, RCL and WPL participation.
- Ensure a positive, inclusive, and development-focused environment across all age groups.
- Oversee alignment between EA-level expectations and the broader developmental pathway within the club.
- Supervise, mentor, and support all boys' program coaches.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop new coaches in collaboration with club leadership.
- Conduct seasonal evaluations and create individualized coach development plans.
- Organize coach education sessions, workshops, and collaborative learning opportunities.
- Ensure licensing compliance and continuing education progression.
- Oversee tryouts, roster formation, mid-season assessments, and end-of-season reviews.
- Provide direct coaching support at training sessions, games, and events as needed.
- Identify and support players with collegiate, regional, national, or EA-level potential.
- Promote age-appropriate development and a player-centered coaching philosophy.
- Support player pathways into higher-level competition, including EA showcases and identification events.
- Lead and support club events, clinics, leadership initiatives, and boys' program activities.
- Build strong relationships with families and clearly communicate program goals, competitive pathways, and expectations.
- Collaborate with other directors to strengthen cross-program initiatives and overall club alignment.
- Represent HPFC professionally within the broader soccer community and league environments.
- Maintain accurate records of team performance, player assessments, and coach certifications using club platforms, including Play Metrics.
- Assist with scheduling, EA and league coordination, tournament planning, rostering, and program budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with EA League standards, RCL, WPL, and Washington Youth Soccer requirements.
- Contribute to staff meetings, strategic planning, and club-wide initiatives.
Highline Premier FC serves nearly 500 players across U8–U19 teams in West Seattle, Burien, and Des Moines. As a community-based nonprofit, we provide a structured, nurturing, and competitive environment that develops players' skills, confidence, and love for the game.
Our boys' teams compete in EA, RCL and WPL, providing multiple competitive pathways to support players at every stage of development.

Minimum Qualifications- USSF National "C" License (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of coaching experience in competitive youth soccer
- Experience managing and developing coaching staff
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to long‑term player development and player‑centered coaching
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Play Metrics
- Must reside in Washington State with reliable transportation
