Position:
Part‑Time Chef Instructor (Seattle)
Sticky Fingers Cooking®, a division of SFC Seattle Eastside LLC, is hiring part‑time Chef Instructors to cultivate culinary curiosity in children.
About the RoleAs a part‑time chef instructor, you will bring the kitchen to children between ages 3‑18, leading hour‑long cooking enrichment classes at various on‑site locations.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver hour‑long healthy and engaging cooking classes.
- Teach basic kitchen skills such as washing, cutting, stirring, measuring, nutrition, safety, and related cultural background.
- Prepare weekly class curricula and shop independently for fresh ingredients.
- Engage a group of 8‑14 children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels.
- Communicate with team members in a timely manner.
- Serve as the face of the company, interacting with children, parents, and school staff.
- Availability at least 2 days a week (Monday‑Friday, 2‑5 pm).
- Commitment to teaching full sessions (4‑12 weeks).
- Washington Food Worker Card (or ability to obtain before teaching).
- Reliable transportation.
- Punctual and reliable.
- No professional cooking experience required.
- Experience working with kids of varying ages is a plus.
- Requirement to pass a fingerprint background check upon hire.
