SEA Fleet Driver

The driver will safely and efficiently drive a commercial truck for extended hours to pick up and deliver freight, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations to transport and deliver goods locally to the airline and/or customer as determined by service level of shipment.

• Load, unload, and transport cargo to and from customer locations and airport.
• Maintain telephone contact with dispatcher to receive instructions.
• Neatly complete bill of ladings and MAWBs for airlines in order to tender freight.
• Maintain driver logbook and daily vehicle inspection report according to I.C.C regulations.
• Interact daily with customers.
• Sit, stand, climb, lift 50 lbs. Must be able to load cargo weighing in excess of 1000 lbs with the assistance of a pallet jack.

• High School diploma.
• 3 years commercial driving experience.
• Must hold valid Commercial Driver’s License and active medical card.
• Must be able to operate a truck with a capacity of 26,000 plus pounds gross vehicle weight.
• Ability to operate handheld computer / cellular telephone.
• Time management, processing paperwork.
• Basic knowledge of computers and email.
• Ability to operate handheld device used to communicate shipment information.
