Transportation Administrator

Job Description

The Transportation Administrator is responsible for the overall management of transportation services for the Healthy Aging and Wellness Program (HAWP), including transportation of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, and medications; transportation scheduling; oversight, hiring, training, and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers; ensuring compliance with transportation contract requirements and data reporting; overseeing vehicle repairs and maintenance; identifying quality and cost‑effective vendors;

and meeting departmental budget goals.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree required; four (4) years of relevant experience in transportation management may be substituted for the degree.
• Experience:
  
  Two (2) years’ experience in transportation management; one (1) year of experience working with the frail and elderly population preferred. If not met, willingness to train on the complexities of serving a frail and elderly population is required.

• Valid Washington State Driver's License and safe driving record
• Ability to safely operate a bus and provide back‑up emergency driver coverage
• Active CPR and First Aid certification within one month of hire
