Driver​/Patient Transportation Coordinator

Description

$3,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. The Transportation Coordinator picks up and delivers geriatric, frail and/or physically limited PACE participants to and from their destinations in regular or specially equipped vehicles, depending upon the individual participants’ needs.

• Pick up and deliver geriatric PACE participants to and from destinations, ensuring safe and compassionate transportation.

• Operate and maintain regularly inspected vehicles, including large passenger vans or small buses, as required by participant needs.

• Adhere to all state regulations and transportation schedules, and maintain a clean, safe vehicle environment.

• Keep accurate records of rides, incidents, and any required documentation.

• Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with proof upon request.
• 5 years of driving experience, complying with all state driving laws and regulations.

• At least 2 years of driving experience, including operating a large passenger van or small bus.
• Experience transporting people with special needs, especially those with mobility limitations.

The base pay range for this position is $21.30–$31.54 per hour, with opportunities for additional compensation such as shift differentials, overtime, and bonuses.
