Job Description Major

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth and timely process flow in the Export Customs department.

Accurate and timely data entry into operational systems.

Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for customer interactions.

Timely dispatch of documents to customers or brokers for customs purposes.

Accurate and timely billing for clients and vendors.

Verify customs declaration information and submit to customs authorities.

Interact with customs inspections and clarify documents when requested.

Act as liaison between customs authorities, other government agencies, and customers.

Ensure timely customs clearance of cargo.

Verify that documents for export customs are compliant and correct.

Engage proactively with customers to meet their freight and shipment requirements.

Maintain good communication and relationships with customers, airlines, trucking companies, and others.

Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards, according to government requirements.

Understand the export process thoroughly and seek continuous improvements for operational efficiency.

Meet KPI standards as per company procedures and customs requirements.

Respond promptly to emails from customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.

Identify potential risks for customers and Expeditors, involving management in escalations.

Qualifications What is required from you?

Flexibility and a strong work ethic, with no 9-5 mentality.
Willingness to work evening shifts, weekends, and national holidays.
Team player with good listening, comprehension, and communication skills.
Proactive with strong organizational skills.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
IATA and/or ADR DG Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
