DescriptionSummary:
Drives truck with a capacity of more than 25 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

Seattle, WA Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE
Overtime Available:
Paid at time and a half Job Type: Full-Time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Actively participate in Seaport Steel's safety program
- Review load boards and verify scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Inspect truck and equipment prior to use
- Inspect materials to ensure accuracy with shipping documentation
- Determine load readiness and make adjustments for safety and compliance
- Properly secure loads for transport
- Deliver and pick up materials according to assigned routes
- Work efficiently and manage time effectively
- Maintain respectful and professional interactions with others
- Ensure accuracy and quality in all work; identify opportunities for improvement
- Complete tasks in a timely manner

- CDL Class A driver's license and completed truck driving courses with a certificate of completion with at least two-year related experiences and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract and read a tape measure
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Eroad™ software or the willingness to learn.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
