The Finance and Administrative Services Department (FAS) is seeking a temporary Delivery Worker for the Facility Operations Division. This position will cover a route that could be a walking route or operate a vehicle on route to pick up and deliver interoffice, US Mail, office supplies, cases of copy paper and various record boxes to pre-assigned and special delivery locations within the City of Seattle and King County geographical area.

The qualified candidate should be able to adhere to a strict time schedule along with strong customer service skills to communicate with personnel at each delivery point. Basic computer skills are required to use handheld scanners, maintain daily logs, other documents, and written customer communication.

* This is a temporary assignment with benefits expected to last up to one year.

FAS is often the public's first interaction with the City of Seattle, operating as a customer-focused front door that assists with everything from paying utilities or reporting a pothole to requesting public information or even adopting a new pet.

The 500-plus employees of FAS span across 10 divisions and work behind-the-scenes providing critical functions, like managing 120 City facilities—including police and fire stations—overseeing the City's neighborhood customer service centers and Customer Service Bureau and making sure minority-owned businesses can equitably compete for City contracts.
