The Tire and Lube Technician is responsible for performing general vehicle repairs, maintenance and diagnosis.
- Service customer vehicles while ensuring quality workmanship.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify problems with vehicles, including engine, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Perform tire repairs, including sealing punctures and replacing valve stems.
- Install and perform tire maintenance.
- Perform oil change and/or transmission service and filters.
- Road test vehicles.
- Ensure the service center is clean and safe.
- Install batteries and check electrical systems.
- Must use PPE, dollies, jacks, hoists, lifts and various tools in accordance with proper use and safety guidelines.
- Use proper ergonomics when lifting to avoid strains.

- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- 1 year work experience in lube/tire technician duties, preferred.
- Must demonstrate working understanding of tire/lube service procedures, mechanical skills and the ability to lift heavy equipment.
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication are essential.
- Driver's License, unrestricted.
- Maintain TIA & ALI certification upon training received.
- Work will occur in well‑lit, well‑ventilated repair shop locations.
- Exposure is grease, car exhaust and chemicals is expected.
- Background noise from coworkers, vehicles and various tools is expected.
- Must wear required uniform.
- Bending, squatting and working under vehicles is expected.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds routinely.
- Use of power tools and mechanic parts are used daily.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk, talk, listen and speak clearly.
- Use of fine motor skills is expected.
- Must be able to raise arms above the head and shoulders for extended periods of time.
