Physician Assistant - Hospitalist/Nocturnist

Schedule:

Nights, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM; 7 on/7 off

Position Overview

Provide hospitalist/nocturnist coverage as a physician assistant in an inpatient hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide general medical care to hospitalized patients

Examine and evaluate patients upon admission and throughout the hospital stay

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, lab work, and imaging studies

Coordinate care for hospitalized patients and communicate with primary care providers regarding patient status and post-discharge follow-up

Document patient care in the electronic health record (Epic)

Required Qualifications

Active New York Physician Assistant license

Board certification

AHA BLS and ACLS

Minimum 2 years of recent hospitalist or relevant clinical experience

Epic experience
