Pioneer Pulmonology, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join our physician-owned practice in Sebring, Florida. This position focuses on inpatient pulmonary consultative services and ICU coverage, with the opportunity to help shape the growth of our interventional pulmonology program. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in interventional pulmonary procedures, including EBUS, and a desire to expand advanced bronchoscopic services.

Future program development includes the addition of the Ion robotic bronchoscopy platform and a dedicated outpatient pulmonary and lung nodule clinic. Join a collaborative, innovation-driven team committed to advancing pulmonary care in our community.

Key Responsibilities


Inpatient Pulmonary & Critical Care

  • Provide week on/week off hospital coverage with 8 hour daytime shifts managing ICU patients, pulmonary consults, and inpatient follow up.
  • Partner with nocturnist critical care APPs who provide overnight ICU coverage, with remote physician availability during service weeks.


Outpatient Pulmonary & Lung Nodule Clinic

  • Maintain an outpatient clinic presence during non hospital weeks, including general pulmonary care and dedicated lung nodule evaluations.
  • Support timely access for incidental and screening detected nodules through coordinated diagnostic pathways.


Interventional Pulmonology

  • Provide interventional pulmonology services utilizing current EBUS capabilities, with planned expansion into advanced bronchoscopy, including diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy, Ion robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, and pleural disease evaluation and management.
  • Participate in the growth and refinement of interventional pulmonary services and technology adoption.


Multidisciplinary Collaboration

  • Engage in multidisciplinary tumor boards and partner closely with thoracic surgery, oncology, radiology, and critical care teams.
  • Contribute to program development, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree; board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Fellowship training is preferred.
  • Experience with bronchoscopy and lung nodule management is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
