Role Description

The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging and rigorous math instruction to middle and/or high school students in an on‑site setting in Sebring, FL. This full‑time role includes planning and teaching daily lessons, assessing student progress, and providing timely feedback to support academic growth. The teacher will differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs, integrate appropriate technology and resources, and maintain a structured, respectful classroom environment.

Responsibilities also include communicating regularly with families and colleagues, participating in staff meetings and professional development, and contributing to school events and activities. The educator will be expected to align instruction with school curriculum standards and support the school’s Christian mission in age‑appropriate and inclusive ways.

Qualifications
  • Strong subject‑matter proficiency in Mathematics and experience or training in Mathematics Education
    .
  • Demonstrated ability in Lesson Planning
    , curriculum implementation, and classroom organization.
  • Status as a Qualified Teacher
    , with appropriate certification or eligibility for certification in secondary mathematics.
  • Effective Communication skills for working with students, families, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Secondary Education, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching middle or high school students, preferably in a private or faith-based school setting.
  • Ability to create an inclusive, supportive classroom that encourages problem‑solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Willingness to participate in school community life, uphold the school’s Christian values, and engage in ongoing professional development.
