Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Sebring, Florida. This full-time night shift role offers the opportunity to provide advanced respiratory care in a modern hospital setting. You'll play an essential role in diagnosing and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, using leading-edge technology and evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities- Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds and airway patency.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient response to treatment.
- Initiate, monitor, and maintain invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
- Assist in the placement and maintenance of artificial airways.
- Respond promptly to emergency codes and ensure airway integrity during resuscitation.
- Transport ventilator-dependent patients safely within the facility.
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to optimize respiratory care plans.
Required:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license (state-recognized)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start date)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 30 days of start date)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 30 days of start date)
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient care coordination skills
Preferred:
- Previous acute care or hospital-based respiratory therapy experience
- Proficiency with ventilator management and diagnostic respiratory procedures
