* Job Description:

*
* + Provides respiratory care to patients, including aerosolized medication, oxygen therapy, and ventilation.

+ Draws, analyzes, and reports blood gas results. Responds to rapid response and code blue situations, performing CPR as needed.

+ Manages ventilators, both invasive and non-invasive, and documents changes.

+ Assists with bedside bronchoscopy and manages non-invasive Bi-level and end-tidal CO2 capnography.

+ Performs respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per physician orders and department protocols.

+ Participates in interdisciplinary rounds, providing input on patient care to impact length of stay and re-admission rates.

+ Assists with clinical instruction, precepts, and serves as a resource for lower-level therapists.

+ Reviews workload, makes staff assignments, and ensures completion of tasks when acting as shift lead.

+ Follows regulatory requirements for the blood gas lab, including quality control and analyzer maintenance.

+ Identifies and implements cost-control methods while maintaining patient care quality.

+ Completes and documents ECGs and ensures all errors and inefficiencies are reported to management.

+ Other duties as assigned.

* + 1+ years critical care experience [Required]

+ 3+ years Respiratory Care experience [Required]

* + State Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) [Required]

+ Active NBRC Credentialed Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) [Required]

+ Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
