Description

The Human Resources Manager is a business partner who manages and sustains the day-to-day HR and operational programs of our manufacturing facility located in Sebring, FL. Reporting to the HR Director with dotted-line accountability to the Site Manager, this role owns established employee processes, recruiting & onboarding, and safety programs, ensuring they run smoothly and consistently. As a key liaison between corporate and plant teams, the role maintains a stable, positive workplace culture, supports supervisors and employees through change, and keeps engagement initiatives on track to help our plant, and its people, continue to thrive.

Responsibilities

HR Processes

  • Oversee the attendance program, including tracking points, communicating status to supervisors and employees, and delivering discipline utilizing established process.
  • Administer the hourly employee incentive/bonus program (safety, attendance, team development, and quality KPIs), including monthly KPI tracking and payout determinations.
  • Coordinate weekly shift coverage and roster bridge scheduling, including PTO monitoring and shift adjustments.
  • Partner with supervisors to administer stair-step wage progression program.
  • Help with employee benefits inquiries and processes. Coordinate wellness activities.
  • Support response to incidents/accidents by coordinating medical treatment, overseeing post-incident drug testing and coordinating any accommodations (e.g. light duty).
  • Work with corporate HR to manage leaves of absence and return to work.

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

  • Manage recruiting for open positions
  • Coordinate community involvement and participation in career fairs to attract talent
  • Facilitate pre-boarding background checks and drug screening
  • Own the established new hire onboarding program — including 30/90-day admin and supervisor reviews, supervisor scorecards, and the operator training pathway — and maintain operator manuals and tool kits.

Plant Administrative Support

  • Order and pick up supplies, coordinate lunches/holiday celebrations.
  • Maintain daily spend tracker.
  • Reconcile P-Card receipts monthly for assigned users.

Plant Culture and Engagement

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and stable plant culture through engagement initiatives, particularly during periods of change or growth.
  • Serve as a resource for employee concerns, address employee relations issues and foster a positive workplace environment.
  • Provide training and development support for supervisors to enhance leadership skills.
  • Partner with the Site Manager to plan and deliver plantwide communications, including all-hands updates and employee recognition programs.

Employee Data Management

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee timecards.
  • Provide workers with compensation incident details to third party administrator and support EHS in managing claims as needed.
  • Respond to unemployment claims through the Florida DEO system.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS system and personnel files.
  • Manage employee discipline and termination documentation (investigation reports, incident reports, termination letters) in compliance with company policy and applicable law.
  • Track data and provide metrics for reporting.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience maintaining HRIS-based tracking systems (e.g., Paycom) for attendance, incentive programs, timecards, and employee records
  • Experience in talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong Analytical skills with solid business judgement.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, workers' compensation, and unemployment.
