Job TitleProfit Center Manager
Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and lead all business operations at the Profit Center, ensuring consistent profitability.
- Recruit, develop, train, coach, evaluate, and manage the team to achieve sales, gross profit, market share, and profit sharing goals.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and provide feedback and development.
- Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals, and hold salespeople accountable for achieving those goals.
- Achieve upper quartile performance in key indicators – Gross Profit %, Net Salaries Ratio, Occupancy Ratio, Return on Investment, Gross Profit per Employee, and Profit Sharing per Employee.
- Analyze financial reports and information, implementing strategies to increase sales, margins, productivity, and manage expenses and assets.
- Ensure the Profit Center meets or exceeds customer service expectations.
- Build community relationships to understand the marketplace, increase market share, and identify new markets.
- Conduct all business in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets – buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
- Complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- College degree or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of sales and service experience.
- 1+ year of leadership experience.
- Product knowledge related to the specific Profit Center market preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a proper and valid driver’s license.
- Have a driving record that meets the criteria for an Authorized Driver under company policy.
- Ability to drive for company business.
- Excellent people skills, sound business judgment, and capacity for continued growth and contributions to the company.
- Effectively use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, maintain appointments and contact files, and analyze performance data.
- Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity.
- Create and nurture a positive team environment, inspiring employees to achieve high customer and employee satisfaction.
- Build positive, influential relationships with customers and vendors.
- Interpret financial reports to determine the success/failure of plans and adjust business plans accordingly.
- Learn and operate computer‑related systems used for business operations.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
