The Community Outreach Coordinator - VISTA is to ensure a high level of customer service, excellent time management, strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills. The specialist will study the Federal Regulations that govern family recruitment and coordination and home building. They will develop user manuals, presentations, and conduct training for staff and families. Weekly, they must prepare and present PowerPoint slides outlining what they learned and showing examples of documents and processes that should be used.
The primary duties include advocating for HPH’s interests, promoting community cohesion and unity by organizing social events, workshops, and other initiatives, and creating and distributing educational materials, newsletters, web‑based and social media content.
As the Community Outreach Coordinator - VISTA Member, you engage with the community to enhance awareness and facilitate access to affordable/attainable housing programs. You collaborate with individuals, families, community members, organizations, and local authorities to ensure housing is a well‑understood and feasible option. Punctuality, commitment, and follow‑through are emphasized as foundational values for transforming innovative ideas into impactful activities, fostering sustained community development.
