Shift: Day (United States)

Location: 4200 Sun N Lake Blvd, Sebring, Florida 33872

Assesses patients' conditions and monitors for changes. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed. Provides patient education on radiation therapy and side effects. Collaborates with Radiation Oncologists to develop and implement care plans. Prepares patients for radiation therapy procedures. Monitors patients during radiation therapy sessions for adverse reactions. Maintains accurate and detailed patient records. Coordinates patient care with other healthcare team members.

Provides emotional support to patients and their families. Ensures a clean and safe work environment. Participates in quality improvement initiatives. Attends mandatory training and continuing education sessions. Other duties as assigned.

• Competent knowledge in operating healthcare related equipment: computer systems, printers, telephone, copier, fax machine, patient care system, stand-up scale, IMED pumps, PCA pumps, Dynamaps, scopes, impact systems, portable O2 tanks, TV/VCR for patient education, beepers, and other electric and mechanical equipment.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Computer skills needed for documentation within the documentation system and use of HIS.

• Associate's of Nursing (Required)

• N/A

• 1+ oncology experience, preferably in radiation oncology (Preferred)
• 2+ hospital experience (Required)

• N/A

• Registered Nurse (RN) (Required)
• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
