Our client, a global supply chain and procurement solutions company is looking for an Production/Sourcing Account Manager to join their team in Secaucus NJ.
The role focuses on supporting revenue growth, optimizing margins and timely product execution through close follow-up, issue resolution and cross functional coordination. Regular collaboration with sourcing offices, internal teams, and client stakeholders will be key to building and sustaining a strong, long-term partnership.
Key Responsibilities:Account Management & Customer Success
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact across design, technical, purchasing, CSR, and escalation topics, supporting the Senior Account Manager
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and solution-driven support.
- Assist in aligning customer requirements with internal teams and to ensure smooth execution of seasonal and core programs.
- Support sourcing and product allocation activities across sourcing locations, balancing margin, pricing, quality, and lead times.
- Manage the end-to-end order lifecycle, from product selection to shipment, ensuring on-time delivery and product excellence.
- Assist with margin optimization and cost negotiations in collaboration with sourcing offices, under Senior Account Manager oversight
- Monitor and analyze KPIs including sales, margins, on-time delivery, and claim rates, ensuring continuous performance improvements.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting via PLM and Infor Nexus to track POs, production milestones and shipments, driving proactive issue resolution
- Support the Senior Account Manager in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand the business
- Monitor market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer insights and share findings to support product and account strategy discussions.
- Coordinate with merchandising and design teams to develop assortments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sourcing, quality, compliance, logistics, and finance to ensure operational excellence.
- Maintain regular communication with overseas offices, coordinating across global time zones
- Deliver weekly business updates, account reviews, and ad-hoc reports for senior leadership.
- Support the Business Unit Head in strategic planning, business expansion, and risk management.
Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, vendor management, or product development/production within the apparel space
- Strong experience working with global sourcing offices and managing high-volume accounts.
- Experience in children’s apparel or mass-market retail.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance product, price, and operational needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Formulas, VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint; working knowledge of PLM/ERP systems preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required (1-2 trips to Asia)
