MEP Superintendent; NJ​/Data Center

Role Overview

We are supporting a leading national General Contractor that is expanding its Mission Critical division and is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to join the team on a $200M+ Data Center project in Secaucus, NJ.

This is an opportunity to work on one of the region's premier hyperscale data center developments while joining a company with a strong nationwide pipeline of Mission Critical work.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of Data Center experience, with a strong background managing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection scopes from installation through commissioning and turnover.

• Oversee all on-site MEP activities on a $200M+ Data Center project.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection subcontractors.
• Drive MEP schedules and ensure critical milestones are achieved.
• Lead daily coordination meetings with trade partners and project teams.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely while maintaining OSHA and company safety standards.
• Identify and resolve field coordination issues proactively.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Owners, Consultants, and Commissioning Teams.
• Track manpower, productivity, and progress while maintaining accurate reporting.

• 3–5+ years of Data Center construction experience preferred.
• Experience as an MEP Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent, Electrical Superintendent, or General Superintendent on mission‑critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Commissioning systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing multiple MEP subcontractors on complex projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Willingness to relocate or travel as required.
