Technical Designer - Women's Apparel

Our client, an apparel manufacturing company, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in Secaucus, NJ

• Create and maintain detailed tech packs including measurements, construction details, and materials
• Evaluate samples and provide clear, concise fit and construction comments
• Lead and participate in fit sessions, assessing fit, balance, and overall garment appearance
• Document and communicate fit comments and revisions to cross‑functional teams and vendors
• Track and implement corrections throughout the development process to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Collaborate with factories to resolve technical issues and ensure proper execution of design intent
• Follow up with vendors on sample status, revisions, and approvals to maintain development timelines
• Ensure all garments meet brand standards for fit, quality, and construction before production
• Support continuous improvement of fit standards, grading, and technical processes

• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fit
• Ability to analyze fit issues and communicate solutions effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Experience working with overseas factories and managing sample development is preferred
• Proficiency in technical design tools and software
