Sr Staff Electrical Engineer responsible for design and debugging of advanced cloud compute server systems and PCB boards from concept to production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and work with external customers and suppliers. Manage cost, performance, quality, and schedule.

• Lead the development of system-level architectures and board-level implementations
• Prepare and oversee specifications, BOM, design, and schematic entry
• Supervise design work by junior engineers and external suppliers
• Make critical decisions related to PCB layout guidelines and supervise Layout Engineers
• Utilize simulation tools to analyze designs and ensure requirements
• Hands-on system bring-up and testing, and system- and board-level debugging
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely, high-quality product development
• Specify and oversee production test methods
• Balance cost, performance, quality, and schedule to drive project success

• Expertise in analog and digital design
• Proficiency in high-speed serial interface design
• In-depth knowledge of high-frequency PCB layout design
• Strong debugging skills for system-level and board-level designs including signal integrity issues
• Familiarity with power distribution techniques as well as server CPU and GPU system architectures
• Ability to implement and debug high-speed serial and parallel interfaces (SAS/SATA, PCIe, USB, backplane Ethernet, DDR, etc.)
• Skilled in feature and cost trade-off analysis
• Ability to create detailed specifications and design guides
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
