AMD Design LLC, a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring a MTS Test Engineer to develop comprehensive test specifications, validation requirements, and platform‑level test strategies for complex hardware server components. The engineer will interface with architecture, design, platform, firmware, and system engineering teams, mentor junior engineers, and develop test specifications, requirements, strategies, and methodologies for platform‑level testing. Responsibilities include efficiently executing test plans and leading a team to meet time‑to‑market requirements, confidently describing test procedures and issues to internal and external stakeholders, driving automation efforts with a team of development engineers, tracking issues and documenting results to align with validation test plans, and taking an active role in lab activities such as inventory control, lab compliance, and hardware installation, reconfiguration, or rework.

Degree required:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

Experience required:
Three (3) years in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Alternate combination:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field, and five (5) years of progressive, post‑baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following areas:

• Developing comprehensive test specifications, validation planning and requirements, and platform‑level test strategies for complex hardware server components;
• Hardware and software verification;
• Design flows and methodologies used for system and/or software verification;
• Product development life cycles;
• C, C++, or Python; and
• Test case development.
