Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
Overview
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting FP&A processes in planning, forecasting, and analytics. This individual will be collaborating with business partners to find solutions for issues facing the company.
Responsibilities Planning & Forecasting- Support the development of the annual operating budget and long‑term strategic growth plans relating to sales, margin, and expenses
- Monitor actual financial performance, compare to budget & forecast, and interpret variances during the month‑end close by reconciling results and consulting with manager to provide responses to finance regarding variances
- Build and maintain complex financial models using Excel & incorporate trends gathered from disparate sources
- Partner with the Accounting department to process accruals in accordance with month‑end close
- Load budget and forecast into Host Analytics system
- Support calculation and issuance of the quarterly ambassador commission payouts for the Wellness Partnership Program
- Responsible for ad‑hoc requests and analysis relating to sales, margin, and/or expenses
- Support preparation of month‑end financial reporting packages & management presentations
- Conduct deep dives into performance metrics & develop root‑cause analyses
- Maintain, enhance, and further develop dashboards and reporting
- Assist with projects as assigned
- No direct supervisory responsibilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent combination of experience and instruction
- Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles
- Advanced PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- 1–2 years of finance/accounting experience
- Strong analytical & problem‑solving skills, with a high degree of proficiency in data retrieval/manipulation, development of forecasting models, financial analyses, & experience creating and managing business plan
- Ability to work with ambiguity and synthesize complex data to draw business insights
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy in work products
- Snowflake, SQL experience a plus
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to effectively communicate a point of view to all levels of management, and cross‑functional teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects within tight timelines
- Proactively initiates changes to improve work processes & takes responsibility beyond the scope of the current position
