Senior National Training Manager – Oncology

The Senior National Training Manager – Precision Oncology & Pathology (SNTM – Oncology) will focus on building and revising oncology and pathology curriculum, creating new content for product launches, and maintaining up‑to‑date training to ensure the field team meets competitive market conditions.

This position reports to the Executive Director, Sales Training & Development and leads oncology training for the commercial organization. The SNTM – Oncology will develop new training curriculum pathways, upskill Quest’s commercial team, and manage all new hire STAGE training.

The role is integral to the oncology commercial leadership team, consulting with the franchise to determine knowledge and skill needs and delivering training across the oncology sales team. The SNTM – Oncology will be certified in Integrity Selling, deliver STAGE 2 content, and conduct IMPAX (or other strategic selling) sessions.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing oncology training strategy, designing blended learning programs, providing national and local training, analyzing training needs, and ensuring continuous improvement. The role also supports national sales meetings, tenured sales training, and collaborates with cross‑functional leaders to integrate training with strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Commercial Learning Center, Commercial Operations, and oncology franchise leadership to develop and implement the overall oncology training strategy.
  • Drive and support national training programs and provide input on local program needs.
  • Design, develop, and deploy national, regional, and local training in blended formats (live and digital).
  • Conduct formal training sessions (in person and virtually) to meet organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with learning center leadership to develop and analyze training programs for maximum performance.
  • Continuously evaluate oncology training activities and drive overall effectiveness.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of oncology and industry trends and innovative training approaches.
  • Lead field training with new and existing oncology sales representatives.
  • Partner with sales leadership and other departments to integrate strategic priorities into all training.
  • Establish consistent processes to assess impact and uncover training needs with cross‑functional leaders.
  • Ensure timely communication of sales training initiatives to field and leadership.
  • Maintain current knowledge of training methods, curriculum, content, and delivery options.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CLC Executive Director or VP Oncology.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business required;
    Master’s degree and/or certifications in instructional design or training & development are a plus.
  • Background in medical or biological sciences required; clinical experience in oncology or an oncology‑adjacent field a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of oncology field experience; success as a sales professional or trainer within healthcare is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of virtual and in‑person training and development experience with passion for training.
  • Excellent project management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, podium and facilitation experience.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time for training sessions and meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to design eLearning modules and source external content to accelerate development.
