About The Role
The System Test Specialist supports test technicians in troubleshooting complex failures and escalating technical work inhibitors. The specialist will support either server level test or rack level test processes based on team needs. The specialist engages with technicians, engineers and program managers of direct and support functional teams. The specialist role requires a balance of team work, communication and strong technical skills to provide critical support to their team.
WhatYou Will Do
- Support technicians in debugging and troubleshooting complex test failures
- Escalate test interruptions and inhibitors to support teams through JIRA and Microsoft teams
- Support and monitor engineering activity in test labs by tracking products and equipment utilization
- Validate test flow for new products entering process
- Monitor and report technical issues impacting test process
- Provide training and assistance to techs in personal, group or virtual sessions
- Track process performance metrics such as cycle time, retries, yields, and product age
- 2+ years of related work experience in computer/server hardware
- Associates degree in IT, or Certification from a Technical School and/or equivalent related work experience
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications are beneficial but not required.
- Configuration experience of Microsoft OS VISTA/WIN7/Server/Office suite and basic Linux
- 4+ years PC system related hardware or networking experience is preferred
ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be $28.50/HR. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
