Job Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to define, own, and execute the data product lifecycle for the Financial and Billing data domains. The successful candidate will act as a key individual contributor translating complex financial, accounting, and billing requirements into scalable, high-quality enterprise data products, establishing robust data contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving cross-functional alignment.
Please note this is a hybrid opportunity (3 days in office & 2 days WFH). The position is based in Secaucus, NJ.
Pay Range:$115,000 - $125,000 / year
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

- Data Product Ownership, Roadmap & Data Contracts: Own the end‑to‑end data product lifecycle for Financial and Billing data domains, translating business needs into a prioritized product backlog, detailed user stories, and clear data definitions. Take full responsibility for building, defining, and owning the data contracts for all data products in this portfolio, and ensuring that delivered data products continuously meet the schema, operational, quality, and SLA expectations defined within those contracts.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirement Shaping: Partner closely with Finance, Billing Operations, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), and Accounting stakeholders to understand business requirements, pain points, and reporting needs, translating them into the explicit service‑level expectations that form the basis of domain data contracts.
- Cross‑Functional Execution: Collaborate daily with Data Engineers, Architects, and Business Intelligence (BI) teams to design, develop, and deliver robust financial data pipelines, data models, and analytical products, validating that technical implementation satisfies all data contract specifications and metrics.
- Financial Compliance & Integrity: Ensure all financial data products conform to external regulatory frameworks (including SOX, GAAP, and HIPAA) as well as internal security, privacy, and Quest enterprise data standards.
- Data Quality & Governance: Define, monitor, and enforce data quality rules, validation logic, and reconciliation metrics specifically tailored for billing transactions and financial reporting, embedding these parameters directly into data contract enforcement mechanisms.
- Data Mesh Integration: Implement and support Domain‑Driven Data Mesh principles for the Financial and Billing domains, acting as the primary Domain SME to publish standardized, high‑integrity 'data products as a service' that adhere to established data contracts.
- Documentation & Lineage: Author and maintain comprehensive data product documentation, including data dictionaries, data lineage maps, schema definitions, and release notes to support self‑service analytics and transparent data contract compliance.
