Position Overview

Title:

Project Employee, GDC Support Engineer.

Location:

Game Distribution Center, Secaucus, NJ. The role provides an option for eligible employees to work remotely one day per week.

The Project Employee, GDC Support Engineer will manage core functions at the Game Distribution Center and remote/cloud productions, focusing on production, transport, and service workflows. This includes troubleshooting issues during live events, managing systems supporting direct-to-consumer content, and ensuring smooth on-air operations for live broadcasts.

• Work with Production & Broadcast Operations to support game productions.
• Maintain and support server‑based digital video and audio control systems, graphics, editing systems, and automation systems, ensuring smooth on‑air operations.
• Assist with troubleshooting and managing broadcast systems and IP/network‑connected equipment, such as production routers, multi‑viewers, switchers, IP codecs, and Layer 2/3 network switches.
• Collaborate with Remote Arena Engineers, Production, IT, Operations, and Vendors to provide support.
• Help maintain live environment for both on‑premises and cloud‑based services at the Game Distribution Center.
• Provide troubleshooting support for operational issues, helping maintain uptime and performance.
• Work various shifts in a 24/7 production environment, including rotating off‑hours support.

• College degree in Communications, Engineering, or related field.
• Or significant field experience in lieu of a college degree.
• Minimum 2+ years of broadcast media or IT experience.
• Minimum 2+ years of IP‑based video streaming development experience (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2+ years of experience supporting live broadcasts and live productions.

• Basic understanding of broadcast media standards, workflow, and technologies used for routing, switching, encoding, and audio processing.
• Familiarity with core routing and switching, including basic configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IP networking protocols such as IGMPv2/v3.
• Awareness of SMPTE standards for video production, e.g., ST‑292M, ST‑424M, ST‑2110, and others.
• Ability to work independently and think creatively to solve problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

$3,200 Bi‑Weekly
