Meet the Team

Core to the health and growth of our business, Millennium’s Information Technology organization supports a flexible, scalable technology environment powered by advanced proprietary systems and the continued development of next-generation analytical and trading capabilities. The global Network & Data Center team supports the firm’s physical infrastructure across data centers and office technology rooms, with a focus on operational reliability, connectivity, capacity management, and disciplined infrastructure operations.

What

You’ll Do
  • Own the day-to-day physical operation of two New Jersey data centers and New York office technology rooms, including power, cooling, space, cabling, and security
  • Perform racking and stacking, structured copper and fiber cabling, labeling, patching, and cable management to maintain a reliable, well-organized environment
  • Manage the hardware lifecycle across servers, storage, and network equipment, including installations, upgrades, moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning
  • Coordinate and execute hardware replacements and RMAs with vendors, while conducting regular inspections and capacity checks across power, cooling, space, and ports
  • Monitor infrastructure and environmental alerts, respond to incidents, perform first-line troubleshooting, and support maintenance activity in a 24x7 environment
  • Work within established ITIL and ITSM processes for incidents, requests, and changes, while maintaining accurate rack, patching, asset, and inventory records in Service Now and Nlyte
  • Support network deployments and physical connectivity tasks, including patching, link validation, VLAN assignment and validation, and basic Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting under the direction of Network Engineering
  • Contribute to tooling, automation, and integration efforts across DCIM, monitoring, logging, CMDB, and capacity platforms, while improving runbooks, SOPs, and recurring operational processes
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in a data center or large-scale infrastructure environment; experience in financial services or other mission-critical environments is a plus
  • Strong hands-on experience with racking and stacking, structured copper and fiber cabling, patch management, and hardware installation and decommissioning in multi-cabinet environments
  • Experience supporting office technology rooms or communications rooms, including IDF and MDF environments, in addition to core data centers
  • Solid understanding of data center power and cooling concepts, including PDUs, UPS, dual feeds, capacity management, and hot aisle/cold aisle design, as well as remote management technologies such as IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, console servers, and out-of-band management
  • CCNA-level networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, trunking, subnetting, basic routing, and access control concepts; CCNA certification is strongly preferred
  • Ability to perform basic configuration changes and CLI-based troubleshooting on enterprise switches and routers within a controlled change management environment
  • Experience working with ITSM, CMDB, and DCIM tools such as Service Now, Jira, Nlyte, Net Box, or similar platforms, along with basic scripting skills in Python, Power Shell, or Bash
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus strong documentation, communication, ownership, and attention to detail across global teams
