Purchasing Specialist
Secaucus NJ – Hybrid
6+ months contract with possibility of extension
Pay range: $38 - $39 /hr on W2

Job Duties:- Purchase small component parts, hard drives, and cables.
- Work with standard distribution suppliers and maintain familiarity with their products and services.
- Utilize MRP systems, with experience preferred.
- Use a purchase order (PO) system; no specific system experience is required.
- Place orders for products and services from approved sources in a timely manner.
- Process releases against existing blanket purchase orders.
- Monitor delivery schedules and provide follow-up on order status.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain purchasing reports and files.
- Assist Buyers and Section Managers with routine purchasing functions.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Education:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of direct purchasing experience.
- Working knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications is highly desirable.
- Experience with electronic components is preferred.
