* Job Duties:

*
* + Purchase small component parts, hard drives, and cables.

+ Work with standard distribution suppliers and maintain familiarity with their products and services.

+ Utilize MRP systems, with experience preferred.

+ Use a purchase order (PO) system; no specific system experience is required.

+ Place orders for products and services from approved sources in a timely manner.

+ Process releases against existing blanket purchase orders.

+ Monitor delivery schedules and provide follow-up on order status.

+ Prepare, organize, and maintain purchasing reports and files.

+ Assist Buyers and Section Managers with routine purchasing functions.

+ Perform other assigned duties as needed.

** Experience and

Education:

*
* + Minimum of 5-7 years of direct purchasing experience.

+ Working knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures.

+ Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications is highly desirable.

+

Experience with electronic components is preferred.
