THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Senior Materials Technician to join our Operations team supporting a fast-paced data center lab environment in Secaucus, New Jersey. This role sits at the intersection of materials management, inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, and engineering lab support.

As a key member of the team, you will help ensure critical hardware, systems, boards, servers, equipment, and materials move efficiently throughout AMD's data center and lab operations. You will partner closely with engineering teams, lab personnel, logistics providers, and operations stakeholders to support the receipt, storage, tracking, movement, inspection, and shipment of assets that support AMD's industry-leading AI, compute, and semiconductor technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support day-to-day inventory management, material tracking, warehouse activities, and logistics operations within AMD's Secaucus data center lab environment.
  • Receive, inspect, process, store, and track inbound and outbound materials, equipment, and assets.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, serial numbers, and shipping documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability.
  • Perform SAP transactions and maintain accurate inventory records to support material visibility and asset tracking.
  • Utilize SharePoint and Microsoft tools to support inventory tracking, reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Coordinate movement of materials between engineering, testing, failure analysis, rework, logistics, and operational teams.
  • Conduct inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions when needed.
  • Monitor material status and provide updates to key stakeholders across engineering and operations organizations.
  • Support receiving, storage, shipping, and material movement activities across warehouse and laboratory environments.
  • Partner with logistics providers and internal teams to support shipment planning, tracking, and material movements.
