Whatnot Live Shopping Host — Fine Diamond & Pearl Jewelry

Unique Designs is launching on Whatnot, a live shopping marketplace, and we are looking for a confident, engaging, and trustworthy on-camera host to sell fine jewelry during live shopping shows.

This role is ideal for someone who loves jewelry, enjoys connecting with customers, and can create excitement while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and trust. The host will present and sell fine diamond jewelry featuring natural and lab‑grown diamonds, as well as pearl jewelry, across multiple price points and product categories.

The right candidate will be part salesperson, part educator, part entertainer, and part brand ambassador. You should be comfortable speaking live on camera, explaining product details clearly, responding to questions in real time, and helping buyers feel confident about their purchases.

Prior Whatnot experience is a plus, but we are also open to candidates with strong backgrounds in jewelry sales, luxury retail, live selling, clienteling, hosting, content creation, or on‑camera presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Host live Whatnot shows featuring fine diamond jewelry, lab‑grown diamond jewelry, natural diamond jewelry, and pearl jewelry.
  • Present jewelry clearly, confidently, and accurately during live broadcasts.
  • Create an engaging, upbeat, and trustworthy shopping experience.
  • Explain product features, benefits, styling options, and value points.
  • Sell across multiple price points, from accessible everyday pieces to higher‑value fine jewelry.
  • Build excitement and urgency while maintaining a professional luxury brand tone.
  • Answer buyer questions in real time during the show.
  • Keep the show moving while giving each product the right level of attention.
  • Work closely with the show operator to manage product flow, auctions, giveaways, and buyer engagement.
Product Presentation & Jewelry Storytelling
  • Present rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants, pearl strands, diamond studs, tennis bracelets, fashion jewelry, bridal styles, and other fine jewelry categories.
  • Explain jewelry details such as metal type, diamond type, diamond shape, carat weight, pearl type, pearl size, setting style, clasp type, and overall design.
  • Communicate the difference between natural diamonds and lab‑grown diamonds accurately and clearly.
  • Highlight craftsmanship, wearability, gifting potential, styling ideas, and occasion‑based uses.
  • Help customers understand product value without overstating or misrepresenting details.
  • Use storytelling to make each piece feel special, desirable, and easy to envision wearing or gifting.
Buyer Engagement & Community Building
  • Welcome viewers, engage chat, and create a warm live shopping environment.
  • Build relationships with repeat buyers and new customers.
  • Encourage viewers to follow the account, bookmark shows, ask questions, and participate.
  • Create trust through transparency, professionalism, and product knowledge.
  • Adapt selling style based on audience response, product category, and price point.
  • Handle objections, hesitation, and comparison questions with confidence and care.
  • Maintain energy and professionalism throughout live shows.
  • Drive sales through strong product presentation and effective live selling techniques.
  • Help maximize revenue per show, sell‑through rate, average order value, and repeat buyer activity.
  • Support themed shows, promotional events, product drops, and category‑specific selling strategies.
  • Learn which styles, price points, and presentation methods perform best.
  • Participate in post‑show reviews to improve future performance.
  • Work with the Whatnot Channel Lead to test selling formats, bundles, opening bids, and show pacing.
Brand Representation & Trust
