- Maintain facility and sales floor safety and standards by adhering to safety policies, conducting safety sweeps, and appropriately handling forklifts and hazardous materials.
- Ensure the Tire & Battery Center (TBC) sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, merchandised, and handles claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
- Present and maintain merchandise presentation: stocking, setting up displays, cleaning, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, and securing fragile or high-shrink items.
- Monitor tire and battery orders daily; assist members with installation appointments; communicate lead time changes and cancellations; recommend alternatives.
- Provide expert member service and recommendations by greeting members, identifying their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, resolving concerns, explaining warranties, and ensuring members receive the best value.
- Drive sales and service excellence by promoting the value of merchandise and services and collaborating with associates across the club to raise member awareness of TBC offerings.
- Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC bays, referencing Sam's Garage to identify waiting members, prioritizing appointments, and re‑prioritizing as needed to maximize service efficiency.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, POS systems, phone, and in‑person selling techniques.
- Leverage technology (digital tools, handheld devices) to enhance operations, plan sales, make real‑time business decisions, stay informed about products and training, and foster adoption of new tools among team members.
- Serve as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service, develop and influence team members, and assist in training initiatives.
- Operate equipment and point‑of‑sale safely, process member purchases, and handle payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics, utilize the Open Door Policy, and execute business processes with integrity.
- Complete work assignments, collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners, identify priorities and deadlines, communicate progress, recommend improvements, and adapt to change.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license
- 18 years of age or older
- Auto service industry experience

CompensationThe hourly wage range for this position is $21.00 to $29.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, depending on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
